Bengali Dum Aloo

  1. Heat oil in a frying pan.
  2. When hot add bay leaf and dry red chilli. Add cumin seeds and let it splutter
  3. Add potatoes and give it a stir
  4. Now add salt and sugar and cook it for 2-3 mins.
  5. Add cumin pwd, pepper powder and half a cup of water.
  6. Let it cook for more 5 to 6 mins till the potatoes are cooked and gravy is thickened.

Serving Instructions

Serve it hot with luchi or puri.
