Aaloo fulkopi dalna is a famous and easy bengali vegetarian receipe. It is very delicious and mouth watering dish in Bengal. Cauliflower, which is called fulkopi in Bengali, potato and peas are the main ingredients used in this receipe. It is served with plain rice or puri which is called luchi in Bengal.

Aaloo Fulkopi Dalna Ingredients


  1. Take a kadai or wok, heat oil, add cauliflower and fry till lightly golden brown.
  2. Add potato and peas, when potato is little fried take out all the vegetables from the oil and set aside.
  3. Add bay leaf, dry red chilli, panchforon and asafoetida one by one in the oil. When spices starts to splutter add fried cauliflower, potato and green peas, turmaric powder, kashmiri red chilli powder, cumin powder, ginger powder and salt and stir well. Add some water if you need. Cook 5 mints then add 2 green chillies and cover it, let it cook for 5 minutes.
  4. After 5 minutes uncovered it, add garam masala and ghee and off the flame.

Serving Instructions

Serve it with plain rice or puri.
