Tandoori Aloo is a popular Punjabi dish served as a side dish. This dish includes baby potatoes and a variety of spices which is cooked to coat the potatoes in a thick and tangy spice mixture. This recipe is quick and easy and can be cooked just before serving it to your guests.

Steps

  1. With a little water, blend the dried chillies into a smooth paste.
  2. With this mix the salt, coriander powder, cumin powder and ginger garlic paste.
  3. Mix to form a smooth paste. Add little water if required. Keep it aside.
  4. In a frying pan heat 1 tbsp oil.
  5. Add the dried fenugreek leaves and sauté for a while.
  6. In this add the spice paste and fry for 3-4 minutes on a low heat till the water dries up and the spice is Fried.
  7. Add a little water and mix well.
  8. Add the boiled potatoes and toss till its coated.
  9. Cook till the water evaporated and the spices are evenly coated on the potatoes.
  10. Sprinkle the garam masala and cream. Adjust the salt. Mix well.

Serving Instructions

Serve it hot as a side dish with naan, paratha or kulcha
