Poha Cutlet is an easy and quick to make snack which is popular during teatime. This cutlet is soft and delicious and is made with easily available ingredients.

Steps

  1. In a pan heat 1 tbsp oil and add the cumin seeds and mustard seeds. As soon as they start to crackle add the onions.
  2. Sauté till they are soft and translucent. Add the turmeric powder and red chilli powder.
  3. Sauté till they are fried . This will take about a minute.
  4. Remove and keep aside.
  5. In a large bowl, add the soaked and drained flat rice, grated boiled potatoes, cashew nuts, fried onion mixture, coriander leaves, green chilli, chaat masala, juice of half a lemon and salt.
  6. Mix well and form a soft dough.
  7. Take a handful of mixture and form smalls rounds. Repeat for entire mixture and keep aside.
  8. In a frying pan, heat oil for shallow frying.
  9. Fry each round till golden brown on each side.
  10. Serve hot

Serving Instructions

Serve it hot with tea and chutney
