A healthy Indian flat bread to have for breakfast

Miss Roti is a type of India flat bread which is accompanied by various Subzi or gravy dishes. This flat bread is also a popular breakfast recipe in Punjab. This mainly uses wheat flour and gram flour. It's almost like a chapatti but has little spices to enhance the flavor of the dish.

  1. In a large bowl mix the wheat flour and gram flour.
  2. Add the salt, red chilli powder, carom seeds, turmeric powder and cumin seeds. Mix everything well.
  3. Add little water and make a soft dough. This requires very little water so be cautious while adding water. It will need approx ½ cup water or less. Make sure the dough is not stuck.
  4. Make 4 small rounds.
  5. Roll it out using wheat flour.
  6. Heat a griddle. Roast each flat bread till light golden brown on each side. Sprinkle oil and fry each side.
  7. Serve hot with Raita or chutney

Serving Instructions

Serve it hot with thick Raita or pickle
