Dahi Bhindi is an quick an easy recipe which you can prepare with just a few ingredients and yet it tastes delicious. It’s Maharashtra affair with loads of curry leaves and a few other spices. It can be made on those days when you want to relax and yet have something good to eat.

Steps

  1. In a bowl mix the curd, red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, gram flour and salt with a little water and keep aside.
  2. In a wok heat the oil.
  3. Add the fennel seeds, cumin seeds, mustard seeds, a pinch of hing and curry leaves. Let it splutter for 30 seconds.
  4. Add the okras and fry covered for 5 minutes or till they are soft and done. Make sure the okra pieces are not too small. They must be bite size.
  5. Add the curd mixture and let it come to a boil.
  6. Simmer and let it cook till the gravy is thick.
  7. Adjust the salt and serve hot

Serving Instructions

Serve it hot with paratha or roti
